Alipay (Early Access)
Alipay is used by over a billion people, including 81% of Chinese consumers. Which means that for software companies selling into the region, it’s a must-have payment option.
About Alipay
As a digital wallet, Alipay makes it easy and safe for customers to pay online with their connected credit and debit cards. When Paddle’s Checkout detects customers purchasing from China, we display Alipay as a payment option. After selecting Alipay, they can then confirm the payment by scanning the QR code that appears, verifying the payment.
We would recommend all software sellers who offer products for one-time purchase to request Alipay through Paddle. Some software sellers have seen their Chinese sales double after enabling Alipay.
