Naver Pay is a digital wallet initially introduced as a payment option for Naver Shopping, one of the most popular online stores in South Korea. It's now a widely accepted payment method in the region.
Customers can earn Naver Pay points for spending, which encourages people to choose Naver Pay at checkout — especially those in their twenties and thirties.
You don't need to set up a bank account in Korea to add Naver Pay as a payment option with Paddle.

How it works
Customer chooses Naver Pay
Turn on Naver Pay in a couple of clicks in your Paddle dashboard. Paddle automatically presents the option to pay using Naver Pay for customers paying in a supported country and currency.
Customer starts confirmation
If the customer is checking out on a desktop, they're prompted to scan a QR code with their phone. If they're on mobile, they're prompted to open Naver Pay.
Customer confirms purchase
Customer confirms purchase on their phone using their Naver Pay app.
Payment complete
If successful, Paddle Checkout shows a success screen or enters your success workflow.
Accept Naver Pay
Go to Paddle > Checkout > Checkout settings.
On the General tab, check Naver Pay.
Click Save to apply.
Test Naver Pay
You can test Naver Pay using your Paddle sandbox account.
Turn on Naver Pay for your Paddle account.
Open a checkout for a one-time item that's priced in
KRW(Korean Won).Pick South Korea as the country on the first screen of checkout, then enter an email address.
Select Naver Pay as the payment method.
Click Pay and follow the prompts to complete purchase.
Paddle Checkout only presents Naver Pay for items priced in South Korean Won, where the customer address is in Korea.
