Emails sent from sandbox include a prefix in the subject

More easily distinguish emails sent from your sandbox account and your live account. Sandbox emails now include a prefix in the subject.

What's new?

We updated the Paddle platform so that customer emails sent from sandbox now include [TEST] at the start of the subject.

There are no changes to endpoints or fields in the API as a result of this change — it's an update to the way the Paddle platform sends emails to your customers.

How it works

Paddle sends emails to customers when they make a purchase and for subscription lifecycle events, like subscription renewals or cancellations. These emails are required for compliance reasons.

The customer emails sent from your sandbox account are the same as the emails you'll see when you're live. This gives you a flavor for the CX and lets you see what your customers see.

To make it easier to spot emails sent from sandbox and emails sent from live, emails sent from your sandbox account now include a [TEST] prefix in the subject.
